Intel will release new Core 2 Quad Chip in January

Intel will launch the third model of the 4 core processor this January. This is part of the continuing effort to stay ahead of AMD.

Quad-core chips can handle complex tasks faster than single-core chips by using multithreaded software. Thses chips will be most suitable for highly threaded programs such as entertainment, gaming and multimedia activities.
