Texas Computer Service

Texas Computer Service

Not only is Texas the second largest state in the nation, but it also has more Fortune 500 companies' headquarters than any other state in the country, as well. With large companies such as AT&T, Whole Foods, Blockbuster, Dell, and ExxonMobil and large cities such as Houston and Dallas (the fourth and sixth largest in the country, respectively), people are flocking to the state to open new businesses. The "Lone Star State" leads the nation in a number of industries. It has the largest number of farms in the United States, leading the nation in livestock, sheep and goat products, and cotton production. Energy is also big business in Texas; the state's petroleum deposits make up the fourth largest reserve in the country and it is also home to the Baytown Refinery, the largest refinery in the United States. It also leads the nation in wind power, solar power, and natural gas production. Texas is home to some of the best technology in the world, including several leaders in the aeronautics industry. The state's economy is rounded out with a strong presence in the retail, wholesale, banking, insurance, and construction industries.

With all of this in mind, there's no doubt that business owners in Texas are looking to save time and money when it comes to keeping things running smoothly. Data Recovery Service

Data Recovery Service

If your hardware has malfunctioned and you need to salvage valuable data, Computer Service Now can help you with our Data Recovery Service.

Data recovery is the process of retrieving data from damaged, corrupted, or inaccessible primary storage media such as hard drives, storage tapes, CDs, DVDs, solid state drives, and other electronics, when there is a problem that prevents it from being accessed normally. The most common reason people need this type of service is when there is damage to a file system, caused by a power outage, hardware issues or system crashes.

Most operation systems come with a repair tool. Microsoft has chkdsk and Mac has Disk Utility that can help with small data issues, but they don't always work for every problem. When the storage device has been damaged or someone needs to retrieve secured, deleted information, the need for an data recovery expert is needed.

If you have a damaged, corrupt, or failed system in need of data recovery and you can't seem to fix the problem yourself, Computer Service now technicians are on standby, ready and waiting to help. They are trained in data recovery and can help you recover the data you need. For more information or to get a quote, call 877-422-1907 or email us at sales@csn1.com. Or you can visit our website Computer Service Now.

On-Site Computer Service Testimonial – Nashville

My name is Christine Silva and I am the office manager for a doctor's office near Nashville, Tennessee. One Friday night last spring, a tornado came roaring through our area and caused quite a bit of damage. While our office was spared any major damage outside, our computer network was struck by lightning. Despite the use of a surge protector, we went into the office on Monday, prepared for what we thought would be just another day of business, only to find our entire system was down! I knew patients would soon be filing in for their appointments, expecting us to be to be on top of the most delicate details of their lives and even though we do keep a lot of our information backed up as a precautionary measure, we have come to rely heavily on the convenience of our computer system.

Of course, I didn't have time to take our entire network to the local repair shop, so I decided to call Computer Service Now. According to their website, www.computerservicenow.com , they offer on-site computer repair. I made a quick call and they were able to have a technician out to the office by 10:30 A.M., just two hours after I put in the call. Within half an hour, the technician had our network up and running again. Aside from the basic programs we use here in the office, I'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to computers, so I couldn't explain exactly what the technician did, but I do know he worked quickly and efficiently and we were able to pull up our patients' files by lunchtime. He also saved us a lot of money as we were so afraid we were going to have to purchase new equipment. Oh, and he even gave me some tips on how to prevent future damage from lightning strikes.

Working with Computer Service Now was one of the best experiences I've ever had with any computer problem I've had both personally and professionally. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is need of any type of computer service!

Disaster Recovery Service

Disaster Recovery Service

You never know when disaster will strike and that is why any business of any size should have a good, solid Disaster Recovery Plan. You don't have to be a Fortune 1000 company with an entire IT staff and you don't have to be the most tech-saavy person or spend a lot of money. Below you will find a list of suggestions that will help anyone get started on creating an efficient and effective Disaster Recovery Plan:

Your Data:

1. Understand what your company's critical data is including accounting, inventory software, email, critical Word or Excel documents, etc.
2. Know where that data is stored and know what needs to be backed up for storage.
3. Know how often the data changes or is updated.
4. Understand the size of the data, so that you are not overly paying for services or wasting time and money on a product or service that is too small to back you up.

Your Plan:

1. Alternative locations such as temporary offices or warehouse space to house your employees, inventories, and computer systems should be found in advance.
2. Make vendor contact information easy to access and keep it handy in a secure off-set location.
3. Think of how you will communicate with your customers, both public and private and make sure you have some sort of database of their contact information ready and available.
4. Keep your employee contact plan and information off-site, as well. Make sure your employees know what to expect.
5. Make sure you have contacted a reliable Computer Rental Firm to know what is available to help you resume normal operations.
6. Keep an off-site collection of a set of usernames, passwords, software key-codes, and access information.
7. Make sure you have copies of software that may not be easily replaced and is specific to your business.
8. Consult with a computer service organization to implement data back-up and a plan for software-installation, data-reinstallation, and other disaster recovery service.

Your Survival:

1. Do not panic. Understand that disasters happen and whether or not you survive will depend on your Disaster Recovery Plan.
2. Remember, data is very important and can make or break you during times of disaster.
3. Never think that a good Disaster Recovery Plan has to be expensive or complex.
4. Act now because disaster can strike at any time.

Technology in the Classroom

Remember the days when our school lessons were taught to us using a piece of chalk and a chalk board? Well those days are long gone in today's classrooms as everybody is using the latest advancements in technology in our classrooms. One of the biggest changes in the classroom is the advancement from the traditional chalk and chalkboard to the dry erase markers and white boards. In my old high school we still had the good 'ol chalkboards in every room except for one, which was lucky enough to upgrade to the white board. But even in today's classroom the traditional white board is becoming obsolete, in large part due to recent technologies like the eBeam Edge.

eBeam Edge is an interactive technology that is used with a projector. With the use of the eBeam pen, you can write and do all sorts of different interactive things on your white board, essentially bringing the white board to life. All you need to use the eBeam Edge is a white board, computer, projector and the eBeam package. But, what makes the eBeam Edge better than the other interactive white boards on the market is that it is not restricted to just a white board. The eBeam Edge can be attached to nearly any flat surface, like a world map or a large picture, and can be used in the same way. The eBeam can be projected onto a surface size of 5ft by 9ft and only requires a single pen to operate. Practically all the software needed for the eBeam is included or is downloadable for free, minimizing the cost of using the product. The eBeam costs around $900 which is very cheap in the market of interactive white boards.

But interactive white boards are not the only things being used to make learning easier. Projectors are becoming a growing part of classroom learning as well. Many teachers today are using projectors in their classrooms to teach. Teachers are beginning to create PowerPoint lesson plans that include notes and everything they need to teach that day in which they then display on a screen by means of an overhead projector. Teachers also connect these projectors to the internet allowing them to quickly find information or helpful websites relevant to they lesson.

The internet has become one of the leading technologies in the classroom as well. More and more teachers are foregoing the traditional hand written homework for online homework through the use of different websites. Now all students have to do is log on to the website, find their homework and do it. The teachers have special access to the sites so they can grade it and some of the sites grade the work as you do it. But probably one of the biggest innovations in classroom learning is the use of computers themselves. Many schools these days have laptops that are used by students in the classrooms. This allows teachers and students to quickly share information, assignments, and notes with each other. Computers in the classroom are becoming easier with companies like Citrix and computerservicenow.com. Companies like these are able to help in the networking of all the computers to make it easier for students and teachers to interact via the internet and computers. Computer Service Now supplies onsite network engineers to help implement these technologies. Networking businesses like these help you maintain and run your computer systems so your teachers and students can easily access the internet and computers to make learning in the classroom easier.

Technology is the fastest growing industry in today's market, and one of the fastest growing trends in our classrooms. Technology in the classrooms makes it easier for students and teachers to work together and it also makes the classroom environment more fun for both students and teachers. It is hard to keep kids interested in school, and by adding technology like computers and interactive white boards, it will make learning a lot more fun.

Computer Service Now - Disaster Recovery

Computer Service Now - Disaster Recovery
A quick web search for "Disaster Recovery" could leave you feeling defeated. Such websites usually seem to be aimed at big corporations who can afford to spend the money or the super tech-savvy who understand the acronyms, big words, and hard to understand language. Guess what? It does not have to be that way. Disaster recovery is an option for every business, no matter the size or type of company and as a business owner, you should have a plan in place. The following suggestions will help you develop that plan and know how to implement it without spending a lot of time or money.

Part One - Your Data:

Know what date is key to survival. This might include the data in your accounting program, contact management software, your inventory software, email, or critical Word and Excel documents. Know where that data is located and what needs to be backed up. This is critical as is knowing how often that data is changed and updated. You must also understand the size of this data so that you can better understand your data archive options, saving you time and money on various products and services that do not fit your back-up needs.

Part Two - Your Plan:

You should always have a back-up location planned. Temporary offices or warehouse space can house your employees, computers, and inventory in case of a disaster. Keeping vendor contact information in a secure off-site location is a must. This will allow you to pass along special information or new delivery locations to your vendors. Communication is key for your customers, as well. Be sure you are able to maintain contact even in the case of an emergency, be it through email, U.S. mail, or even through a temporary homepage on your website that allows you to let your customers know what is going on. Make your employees know the procedure for the disaster plan and stay in contact with them to help keep things running smoothly.

On the technically side, advance contact with a Computer Rental Firm is key for helping your operations resume once disaster strikes as they can provide your company with office equipment from computers to photo copiers. You should also organize an off-site collection of all of your software media including key-codes, passwords, and user names. Investigate where your critical software came from. If it was custom installed by a professional, a simple trip to the store will not be the same as replacing it with the original. And of course, consulting with a trusted Computer Service Organization will help implement a data backup procedure and a plan for software installation and data re-Installation.

Part Three - Your Survival:

Remember disasters do happen and your survival depends on whether or not you are able to recover effectively with minimum loss. Keep in mind that a solid Disaster Recovery Plan must never be complex or expensive. And don't forget to act now...you never know when a disaster may strike!
