Intel Grows As Microprocessors Shrink

According to recent financial data the Santa Clara chipmaker is doing much better than in years past.

In addition to reaping the benefits of job cuts Intel also announced a new record in the total sales of microprocessor units.

Going forward Intel is optimistic about its next generation 45nm process technology that is scheduled to go into production in the second half of 2007.

ComputerServiceNow.com (an authorized Dell Reseller and a member of the Tech-Army.org) reports their sales of Intel based workstations are up and are hopeful the trend will continue as Intel struggles to keep it’s recently acquired lead over rival AMD in the ongoing microprocessor wars.
