Backing Up Your Files Is So Important!
I know it’s been said by everyone, even in this blog once before, but it still stands. Please, please, please back up your files in some way. There are so many great ways to do it, some are on the cloud, some are physical medias, and some are images on your computer, but it doesn’t matter what way as long as you are doing it. Today I had to give someone bad news, they got the Cryptolocker virus, which if you do not know is a virus that encrypt all of your office files with a crazy complicated encryption code, and the only way to get your files back is to either back them up or pay them 300 dollars. No one wants to pay 300 dollars, especially not to a person who is trying to ransom something that belongs to you. The easiest solution to this disturbing problem is, back up your files. A quick restore from your back up and the issue is resolved.
