Back From A Long Vacation
Today’s Top Threat
Trojan.Ransomcrypt.M
Today’s top threat is the Ransomcrypt Trojan, this particular Trojan falls in line with the rest of the encryption viruses that lock down peoples files and ransoms them for money, bitcoins, or giftcards. It has a medium damage level, but if you do not back up your files, it might as well be high.

Prevent Scammers From Taking Over Your Company’s Social Presence
“Social media is a hugely important tool for growing your business’s brand, and the last thing you want to do is expose your customers to spam. Yet we’ve all seen it: the tweet promising thousands of new followers or the Facebook post teasing a way to lose weight or earn easy money – of course only if you’ll click on a link. It’s an issue that’s not going away any time soon, and it must be handled in the right way.”

Rest Then Stressed
Being on vacation is a great feeling, you get to sleep in, relax, and in general not think about work, but the real problem come Monday when you get back and everything is chaos. There are many things we can do to reduce the stress of the first day back, including leaving yourself and coworkers a health amount of notes as to what is and was going on. We have a good habit in our tech department where we bombard each other with what was going on with our customers before we left, that way they can answer questions, and everything is not left there waiting for you. The other important thing to do is to set up your email with an auto-responder saying you are out of the office, that way your customers know what to expect. I also find it very useful to leave myself a ton of notes on Google Calendars. I never feel too lost when coming back!
